Anyone ever seen that episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in which a vampire asks "does this make me look fat?" and the other vampire answers..."the fact that you're fat makes you look fat". Well I know I'm fat...I'm not trying to make myself look like an overstuffed sausage in its skin it just generally happens...just throwing it out there before anyone else feels the need to!

Anywho

I feel like, no, I KNOW that the majority of my wardrobe is made up of chiffonness. So in the past 2 months I've bought some more...:-)

Fail...

...so I had no Internet for over a week...thanks Sky Broadband....:-/
Then I kinda got out of the swing of things...so I'm writing this in the hopes that i will pull my finger out and actually regularly post blogs...I really do enjoy writing & putting them together but I often lack inspiration or any form of creativity...so rather than just being beauty orientated I am going to post about anything & everything!

I look forward to taking this a bit more seriously...*fingers crossed*

Fish food!

Today is/was my mums birthday :-) So I took her & my auntie to the new fish pedicure place in our local shopping centre...





It was honestly the weirdest thing if ever experienced!!! It didn't hurt at all (they have no teeth) and it was quite relaxing after you get used to it. It feels like vibrations running through your feet...like I said, weird!! It took a lot of the dry skin off my feet and I'm sure if you booked a pedicure right after your feet would be as smooth as a baby's bum as the saying goes!
There are about 60 little fishes and one big daddy one...who looks kinda scary, I'm not going to lie, I was worried lol! It took about 15 minutes & cost £10, which is great if you want to test it out. I think it was £20 for 35 minutes, which I think I will do at the end of the month...:-)



It doesn't look like a lot of fish but most of them were on the souls of my feet!

Nail Art of the day - Tash on!

I'm really getting into nail art. Iv bought loads of those pinhead nail art pens and the felt-tip kind. I either copy a YouTube tutorial or I randomly doodle, most of the time it works...then there is the odd disaster!
On Saturday night I tried to do the "moustache nails" I have seen retweeted on twitter a lot lately...granted I'm not at all an artist or remotely a good drawer so it's a bit messy but I'm getting better!







The colour is OPI's A Grape Fit which is a beautiful deep lilac...not a grape colour but whatever...OPI tend to name their colours with little to no reference to the actual colour...but it's usually the names that attract me lol!
I then used a CD pen/permanent marker to draw and fill in the tashes...either I didn't let it dry long enough (10 mins) before the top coat or a permanent marker isn't at all...well...permanent...:-/ so I got a little smudgaroo...

I got lots of compliments anywho...:-)

I got some nail art stuff in the post today (thank you china for cheap stuff!) which I will blog about when everything comes through!
It's mums birthday tomorrow so we are off to let the fishys eat our disgusting dry skin!:-)

Daily face

Heey! Oh I almost forgot to blog tonight...2 days in and I'm lapsing!!!!

Today I thought I'd share my general everyday face of makeup.



I'm loving the MUA face primer. It's honestly one the best iv tried, which is a lot, but il be doing a primer review at some stage this month so i will tell all then!
The foundation I'm currently using is Revlon Colourstay in 150 Buff. Yes it's the lightest shade they do...yes I'm as pale as a snowflake but I love it! The product really does 'stay' on your face...honestly facewipes just don't remove it...but again I'm planning a skincare post so that will take care of that!
I lightly dust ELFs mineral booster in sheer over my t-zone as the rest of my face us drier that the Nevada dessert...:-( but it's lovely and not at all a chalky finish!

Onto eyes:



I prime my lids with the ELF £1.50 primer & that's it...then I add whatever mascara my hand finds first. This week it's the MUA professional range Extreme curl one...I LOVE IT! My friend asked me was a wearing false lashes the other day in work...:-) Needless to say her response to my "no" is unwritable lol! I then line my waterline in Rimmels Plum waterproof liner.

Lips:



Every morning/early afternoon I use this lush lip scrub in bubblegum and again use a random subtle colour - this weeks choice is Rimmels Airy Fairy which may I add I got in the pound shop! Woop!!

So that's it...yes it does vary from time to time but this what's been happening for the past week or so! :-)

Blogtober???

So...I realised I have written two of these "oh I promise I'm getting back into blogging regularly...blah blah blah" posts, but I think this is the kick up the bum I need to actually do it. Blogtober meand posting a blog everyday of October so I'm going to sit tonight in front of X-Factor and make a list of the types of posts I want do & on what days...then I really have no reason not to post...:-)

So this is the first...fingers crossed I actually complete this challenge! I'm going to go now and look at all my favourite blogs to gain some inspiration!
