Absentee Blogger

Hey guys...running a blog is hard going isn't it...I just cant keep up at the minute with college & work. Unfortunately college is almost over :-( I've decided to fully commit to this blog and possibly start a YouTube channel once I have finished class!

I thought I'd include a few pictures of my work just to prove I have been a busy bee!

Inglot Blogger Event

On Tuesday 6/9/11 Inglot Belfast held their first ever blogger event which I was lucky enough to attend. Firstly, I finally met TJ who I have been subscribed to on YT for ages! She is an awesome fashion vlogger & a lovely girl, so go check her out! I also met Jenn, another blogger & makeup artist for TV & Film (I'm not jel...I swear lol). Shes gorgeous & her blog is great!

Ok onto the event! We all know I'm not the greatest blogger in the world  and forgot to get a picture outside when we arrived...fail...BUT I took lots inside so for those of you strange creatures who have never been to an Inglot store before...this is what heaven looks like:

This unit contains all the 'Freedom System' pans...You can build your own palette with eyeshadow, lipsticks, blush, powder etc...Amazeballs!

Absolutely loving these metallics! They have been added to the HUGE line of enamels they already house!

Anywho after a couple of demos from the talented & lovely Nicky (note to self, pick a better bloody seat next time!) we where treated to a goodie bag AND got to pick any two rainbow trio eyeshadows from their new line in the freedom range!

Products I couldn't resist picking up...

I think my favourite thing about Inglot is the fact that they dont release limited edition collections that i fall in love with then its gone forever, when they bring out a new product its added to their line for keeps! The quality is outstanding and the pricing is brilliant when compared to other high end brands.

So I just want to say THANK YOU Inglot! It was a brilliant event, all the staff where so lovely & helpful, I cannot WAIT for the next event! Roll on Xmas!

Embarrassed by blogging?

Whilst at the Inglot Belfast blogger event last night I was chatting to a few other bloggers, we where discussing whether other people (friends, family, colleagues etc) knew about our blogs & if not, why not!?
My own personal reason is pure embarrassment. I didn't even know why I felt so embarrassed about it...but after thinking about it all day I think it's because I blog about makeup & the majority of my friends & family don't really care about makeup, or not enough to live, breathe & write about it anyway! I have had some amazing opportunities to review products for amazing company's & should feel privileged that they picked my blog as a podium to show their products.

Anywho

Starting college full time again this year has led me to meet some fantastic people & life long (hopefully!) friends. Within 2 months they know about my blog are so supportive & interested! I think I have even convinced one to start a blog herself (yes you Siobhan, get on it!)

I'm hopefully going to have a bit more time to get into regularly blogging again. I have a post ready to put up about the Inglot event which was fabulous & can't wait for more company's to get their acts together & start having Belfast events!

So no more secrets. It's out there, yes people I blog & I'm proud of it! Just find it yourself & don't pressure me lol!

Haullllaaaaa

I bought a few bits & pieces this past month....I wont be buying ANYTHING in the next month or so...my life sucks at the minute...wehhhhh

Anywho getting to open & swatch all this after 3 weeks of sitting in a bag has cheered me right up :-)

*NB-Bright pink backrounds & dog assistants do not work...

I heart NYC

If I can't physically go to NYC the next best thing, in my opinion, is using makeup named after my favourite city in the world!




I was very kindly sent some of the products from the new Summer Bronzed collection & a few bits from their regular line.




The foundation was a shade to dark for me, so I have added it to my kit. I did however buy it in my colour from SuperDrug & am really liking it! The staying power is really amazing for the price, oh did I mention that it was only £2.49! WTF? It was on offer, otherwise it's £3.99. Bank breaking, right?



Now I'm not into bronzer...I've never been able to wear it, or fake tab for that matter, without looking like something that should be working for Willy Wonka! However, the lighter side on this duo is a nice subtle contour colour for my see through pale skin!



Anyone who has seen my makeup collection knows that my liner collection is...just ridiculous. "Stacey, you only have two eyes, WHY do you need 200 eyeliners..." Mothers words of wisdom there...But hey! I got three more...& they are just beautiful. Very smooth & glide on like a dream & they last a good while without re-application. I used the navy one last week on a night out & smoked it out into a blue shadow also from NYC, it was so beautiful (pics to come).




I also received three other products which are still unopened & in my 'Giveaway' box. I already had the lipgloss & mascara, & as I have said I don't use bronzer so I'm building up my giveaway box for when I reach 100 subscribers :-)

My friends and colleagues scoff at the size of my handbags...they are always big...& full. Do I get gratuitous praise when they need something obscure like a needle & thread, of which you can choose from TEN colours, or a corn patch (even though I do not have corns!!!), or maybe something normal like a tissue, antibacterial gel or cinnamon powder, NO, is the answer to my own question.

I digress, the item which takes up the most room is my makeup bag...& before you ask, YES! I do need to carry a full makeup bag, I work shifts & sometimes limiting it can just not be done!

So here it is...my 'Everyday Make-up Bag'

 Yep...I told you.

 This makes me happy...

 I need 10 hair bobbles because....just because.

 Two tubes of primer & two blushes...Really Stacey...is there a need?

 Apparently I use 6 eyeliners at a time...

 Someone needs to explain the concept of categorizing to me...

 I know that powder looks gross...I have now wiped it off...& yes, yes I do need to bottles of exactly the same foundation.

I would say that two thirds of this stuff goes onto my face daily...the other third gives me options...which I like...
