I definitely have a wide colour range and a great variation on brands.
The most regular little fella in my collection is Barry M...In my opinion, the best "drugstore" nail polish ever, including the ones that claim to last 7 days (yeah...in your dreams!)
 |
Colours from L-R: Limited Edition-030, Raspberry-273, Red Glitter-150, Cobalt Blue-291, Black-47, Instant Nail Effects-Black Crackle, Mushroom-310, Blueberry Ice Cream-306, Turquoise-295, Mint Green-304, Bright Pink-279 |
|
I usually only buy them on offer,
Superdrug and
Boots often do 2 for £5! I know they are only £2.99 but that extra £1 saved really counts on a budget! The only thing I would love Barry M to change about their nail polish range is the singlular names of the polishes...I'm such a dork when it comes to the name of things...its usually half the reason I buy it...<Advertising Sucka!!> But when the likes of OPI name a colour 'Siberian Nights' for example im automatically drawn to it, it could be the colour of last nights vomit and id buy it!! Mushroom is my favourite Barry M Polish!!
The next brand I have quite a few of is the
Nailwear Pro range from Avon. I usually but them when they are on offer for £2.50/£3 they are usually £6.
 |
Colours from L-R: Gunmetal, Splendid Blue, Luxe Lavender, Vintage Blue, Deluxe Chocolate, Coral Reef, Coral Beet, Green with Envy, Peppermint Leaf |
|
|
These are beautiful colours, one coat is sufficient but two really boosts the colour payoff! I love avon for nail polish (especially on offer!). I like that they make a bit of effort with the name - Green with Envy is my favourite! I have quite a few other Avon ones from different collections, which I will maybe post another time. I recently ordered some more so I will update ASAP!
Next in my collection are some
ELF polishes! They are all £1.50 and sometimes they are on offer for £1...Can't beat that with a stick eh!
 |
Colours from L-R: :Lilac, Innocent, Chocolate, Matte Finisher, Medium Red, Cranberry, Punk Purple, Dark Navy. |

So, these polishes are only £1.50, they are definitly worth the money, and with a few (2/3/4) coats do give a nice colour. The colour swatches on the website, for the most part, are not true to life. I ordered Punk Purple on the premise that it was a shocking bright purple...its more of a dull fushia pink, I actually like the colour but obviously I now keep an open mind when choosing a colour lol.
The matte finisher is GREAT! I really wanted to try the China Glaze one, but my Sally's didnt have it, so I saw this for £1.50 and thought "eh why not!". Im so glad I got it! Chocolate is my favourite!
I also have a lot of the little mini
OPI collections, I have swatched them all on a nail wheel *Look Down*

Colours starting from the purpley/plum 2nd from top: Tiny Takeouts - Dim Sum Plum, Red my Fortune Cookie, Suzy Says Feng Shui. Shrek Collection - Who the Shrek are you, Rumples Wiggins, Whats with the Cattitude, Fiercely Fiona. Swiss Collection - Color So Hot it Berns, Yodel me on my Cell, Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous. Burlesque Collection - Ali's Big Break, The Show Must Go On, Take The stage, Rising Star. A Little Bit Retro Collection - Calendar Girl, Sea Ya Later Sailor! |
|
|
Omg, my hands are sore from all that typing lol. The swatches are all one coat. They are all the little mini sets, I find it much more cost effective to buy the little OPI's, you get 3 or 4 colours for around £12 which compared to £10+ for one bottle is a bargain! And if you really love one of the colours and use up the baby you can splurge on the mummy! Dim Sum Plum is my favourite!
And last but not least are the most recent addition to my little family...
 |
Colours L-R: Mistletoe Kisses, Liquid Leather, Jolly Holly, Ruby Deer. |
|
You see...thats what im taking about...China Glaze really know how to name a polish!! These little beauty's run at £6+ in my local
Sally's...but i get trade price :-) Actually the christmas ones where on sale for £2!! SCORE! I love the brushes in these polishes, it applies smoothly and evenly, one coat is fine, maybe two for extra lastingness...(< a word?) Iv worn all four of these this week as i tend to change my polish every other day and honestly...im in LOVE! My favourite is Jolly Holly!
I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you want to see any swatches of specific colours and if you have any opinions on the polishes i have!!
